Who must post the Texas Human Trafficking Poster?
A person who operates any of the following businesses must post the Texas Human Trafficking Poster:
- An entity permitted or licensed under Chapter 25, 26, 28, 32, 69, or 71, Alcoholic Beverage Code, other than an entity holding a food and beverage certificate;
- A cosmetology facility;
- A hospital;
- A massage establishment;
- A massage school;
- A sexually oriented business;
- A tattoo studio;
- A transportation hub; or
- A state park and other recreational site under the Parks and Wildlife Department’s jurisdiction.
What does the Texas Human Trafficking Poster inform the public about?
The Texas Human Trafficking Poster informs the public:
- Key indicators that a person is a victim of human trafficking;
- The services and assistance to victims of human trafficking;
- The toll-free telephone number and website for accessing human trafficking resources; and
- Contact information for reporting suspicious activity to the Department of Public Safety.
Where must the Texas Human Trafficking Poster be posted?
The poster must be:
- Clearly legible;
- Posted in a conspicuous place that is near the public entrance or in clear view of the public and employees where similar notices are posted; and
- In English and Spanish.
