New York’s Minimum Wage Set to Increase 2013

The governor of New York recently signed a comprehensive state budget bill which includes amendments to Section 652 of the NY Labor Law, raising the minimum wage rate in the state.

Beginning December 31, 2013 the New York minimum wage increases to $8.00 per hour. Then exactly one year later the rate jumps again to $8.75 per hour. The third increase occurs on December 31, 2015, when the rate increases to $9.00 per hour.

New York Law requires employers to post the official minimum wage poster in the workplace for employees to view. Compliance Poster Company will be updating their New York All-On-One™ poster once the official poster is released by the state.

With an active legislative session still ahead, Compliance Poster Company (CPC) is closely watching for more developments as they occur.  CPC makes Labor Law Compliance easy. We will keep you posted.
