What’s new?
Last November, Florida voters approved an amendment to raise the state’s minimum wage to $15.00 per hour over the coming years. The first increase will start this September 30th, then the minimum wage will increase by one dollar per year until 2026. Starting September 30, 2027, the minimum wage will be adjusted for inflation.
The Florida Minimum Wage notice has been updated with the minimum wage rates effective September 30, 2021. The minimum wage for non-tipped employees will increase to $10.00 per hour, while the minimum wage for tipped employees will increase to $6.98 per hour.
Who must post?
The Florida Minimum Wage notice is a mandatory notice for employers with one or more employees who are subject to the minimum wage law. The notice must be prominently displayed in a conspicuous and accessible place in each establishment where such employees are employed. (Florida Statutes § 448.109) |
