What’s new?
The Michigan Minimum Wage posting has been updated to reflect the minimum wage rates for calendar years 2022 and 2023.
Effective January 1, 2022:
- General minimum wage – $9.87 per hour
- 85% rate for minors ages 16 and 17 – $8.39 per hour
- Tipped employees – $3.75 per hour
Effective January 1, 2023:
- General minimum wage – $10.10 per hour
- 85% rate for minors ages 16 and 17 – $8.59 per hour
- Tipped employees – $3.84
Who must post?
Employers subject to the Michigan Workforce Opportunity Wage Act are required to prominently display the minimum wage posting in a conspicuous and accessible place in each establishment where employees are employed. (MCL, Section 408.417)
