What changed?
The Georgia Workers’ Compensation Bill of Rights Notice has been revised to reflect new benefit amounts effective as of July 1, 2022:
- The maximum weekly benefit for temporary total disability has increased to $725.
- The maximum weekly benefit for temporary partial disability has increased to $483.
- The maximum total compensation payable to a surviving spouse where there is no other dependent has increased to $290,000.
The Georgia Workers’ Compensation Panel of Physicians: Official Notice has also been updated. The State Board of Workers’ Compensation contact information has been removed and replaced with an insurance fill-in section.
Who must post?
Employers with three or more employees are required to conspicuously post the Georgia Workers’ Compensation Bill of Rights Notice and Panel of Physicians: Official Notice in locations accessible to employees. (Code of Georgia § 34-9-81.1) Employers are required to notify employees about employee rights and responsibilities under the workers’ compensation law.
