Who must post the North Carolina Human Trafficking Poster?
North Carolina law requires the North Carolina Human Trafficking Poster to be displayed in the following locations in a place that is clearly conspicuous and visible to employees and the public, unless otherwise noted:
- All Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) permittees (required only in places visible to employees). (NCGS § 18B-1003)
- Adult establishments, as defined in NCGS § 14‑202.10. (NCGS § 14-202.13)
- Businesses described in NCGS § 19‑1.2 (i.e., declared a nuisance for lewdness, gambling, prostitution, or possession or sale of illegal alcohol or controlled substances). (NCGS §19-8.4)
- The emergency room or emergency department of licensed hospitals. (NCGS § 131E-84.1)
- Every transportation station, rest area, and welcome center in the State. (NCGS § 143B-348)
- Every JobLink or other center offering employment or training services to the public. (NCGS § 143B-431.3)
