Warning! Phony OSHA Inspectors Create Outrage

Call CPC before you purchase posters from drop-in “Agents”

Businesses have been reporting that an “Agent” from the “California Board of Regulations, Department of Compliance” has been inspecting their facilities and intimidating them into believing their posters are out-of-compliance. Furthermore, they are encouraging the replacement of posters which are not out-of-date and the purchase of posters that are not required.

The labor law posters purchased from CPC are in full compliance with all state and federal laws. Beware- there is no such government agency in the state of California named “California Board of Regulations, Department of Compliance.” This is a private company misrepresenting themselves as an official government agency in an attempt to sell their products.

What you should do if an inspector shows up:
According to OSHA, “Employers may verify the OSHA federal or state compliance officer credentials by calling the nearest federal or state OSHA Office.” (http://www.osha.gov/Publications/osha2098.pdf Page 7)

Furthermore, OSHA advises the following: “Compliance officers may not collect a penalty at the time of the inspection or promote the sale of a product or service at any time; anyone who attempts to do so is impersonating a government inspector and the employer should contact the FBI or local law enforcement officials immediately.”

Give CPC a call at (800) 817-7678 should you have any questions as to whether your posters are in compliance.

We’ve got you covered!
