New Tennessee “No Handgun” Law


An individual, corporation, business entity, or local, state or federal government entity or agent of is authorized to prohibit the possession of weapons by any person who is at a meeting conducted by or on property owned, operated, or managed under the control of the individual, corporation, business entity or government entity.

A violation is a criminal offense punishable by a fine of $500.00 and possible imprisonment and suspension of a handgun carry permit. Corporations, business entities, or local, state or federal government entities or agents thereof must display the “No Handguns” poster to notify visitors that weapons are prohibited on the property.
