Missouri Department of Labor & Industrial Relations Announces Minimum Wage Increase For Workers
The numbers are in…Missouri’s Department of Labor announces an increase in the minimum wage effective next year. Effective January 1, 2013 workers in Missouri will get paid 10 cents more, $7.35 per hour which puts them 10 cents above the federal minimum wage. Last year not all states that adjust their minimum wages based on the CPI Index changed, but this year the numbers are all in and INCREASE is the word of the day.
The final count for minimum wage increases is as follows:
- Arizona – $7.80
- Colorado – $7.78
- Florida – $7.79
- Missouri – $7.35
- Montana – $7.80
- Ohio – $7.85
- Oregon – $8.95
- San Francisco, California – $10.55
- Vermont -$8.60
We are still waiting on word from Santa Fe, New Mexico…
We also have some minimum wage increases that are not a result of adjustments in the CPI. Rhode Islanders will see an increase in their minimum wage as a result of 2012 legislation. San Jose gets a bump as a result of a majority vote on a ballot measure.

- San Jose, California – $10.00
