The changes include:

  • Individuals are eligible for unemployment insurance benefits when they make a minimum of three (3) tangible job contacts each work week AND document each work search on a TUC Work Search Log.
  • Failure to make three (3) weekly work searches can result in loss of benefits unless the individual is job-attached, a member of a hiring union, or attending training approved by the Commissioner.

The poster originally outlined details about how individuals could either search for work or access a Tennessee Career Center. An individual must make the required minimum job search contacts whether or not they use the Tennessee Career Center.

Mandatory workplace labor law posters not only convey important information, but also clarify otherwise difficult legal terms. This is helpful for employees.
