Manitoba’s Minimum Wage Rises by 20 cents in October 2013

All employees in Manitoba Canada must receive the minimum wage unless they are not covered by provincial employment standards or are excluded from requirements under the law. These types of employees include, but are not limited to, domestic workers and those in a federal or provincial government-sponsored training program. The minimum wage does apply in both residential construction and building maintenance, but be aware there are separate minimum wage rules for those in the heavy construction and industrial sectors.

Effective October 1, 2013 Manitoba’s minimum wage increases by 20 cents to $10.45 per hour.
