Colorado All-On-One Labor Law Poster

The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment has announced its annual proposed state minimum wage rate for 2015. Colorado Minimum Wage Order Number 31 establishes a minimum wage rate of $8.23 per hour, and $5.21 per hour for employees who regularly receive tips, effective January 1, 2015.  The Colorado Constitution requires the state to adjust annually the minimum wage rate for inflation, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI).  The new rates reflect an increase in the CPI over the last year of 2.9%.  Currently, the Colorado Minimum Wage rate is $8.00 per hour, and the tipped employee Minimum Wage rate is $4.98 per hour.

Prior to adoption of Colorado Minimum Wage Order Number 31, interested parties are invited to participate in a hearing on the matter and to submit written comments.  Comments must be provided to the Colorado Division of Labor by November 6, 2014. The hearing on the proposed rule is November 4, 2014.  Once the final rules go into effect, Colorado employers will be required to post a notice of the Minimum Wage Order 31.  Once the notice is released by the state, Compliance Poster Company will have available two update options – a new 2015 Colorado All-On-One™ Labor Law Poster or a Colorado Minimum Wage Order 31 Peel ‘N Post™.  Check back soon!
