What’s changed?
The Florida Minimum Wage notice provides information on the state minimum wage law, including an employee’s rights under the law and penalties for violation of the law.
The notice has been revised with the new minimum wage rates for non-tipped and tipped employees, effective January 1, 2019:
  • Minimum wage rate for non-tipped workers: $8.46 per hour.
  • Minimum wage rate for tipped workers: $5.44 per hour.
Florida’s minimum wage is recalculated yearly according to increases in the cost of living. The 2019 minimum wage rates represent a 2.59% increase over the previous year.
Who is required to post?
The 2019 Florida Minimum Wage notice is a mandatory posting for employers with 1 or more employees who are subject to the minimum wage law. The notice must be prominently displayed in a conspicuous and accessible place in each establishment where such employees are employed. (Florida Statutes §448.109)
