How did the Broward County Living Wage Poster change?
The Broward County Commission recently passed an amendment to raise the living wage for the employees of County service contractors and subcontractors. Effective January 1, 2019, the new rates are as follows:
  • For contracts entered into prior to January 1, 2019:
    • $12.60 per hour with qualifying health benefits amounting to at least $1.63 per hour, or
    • $14.23 per hour without health benefits
  • For contracts renewed, extended, amended, or entered into on or after January 1, 2019:
    • $13.27 per hour with qualifying health benefits amounting to at least $1.63 per hour, or
    • $14.90 per hour without health benefits

These rates have been added to the poster with a note stating that the qualifying health benefits amount is subject to change if modified by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners. The poster also has updated contact information for the Broward County Professional Standards / Human Rights Section and the Broward County Purchasing Section.

Who is required to post the Broward County Living Wage Poster?
