The Georgia Workers’ Compensation Official Notice has been updated with a new title, “Panel of Physicians Official Notice.” On the notice, employers must list at least six qualified physicians that employees can select from when injured on the job. The panel must include one orthopedic surgeon, a minority physician and four other properly qualified physicians, but no more than two industrial clinics. The Georgia Workers’ Compensation Official Notice has also been updated with a revised State Board of Workers’ Compensation web address, and a new revision date.
Who must post?
Every employer with three or more employees is required to display the Workers’ Compensation Official Notice in locations accessible to employees. (Code of Georgia § 34-9-81.1) |
