What’s new?
The Constitution of the State of Ohio (Art. II, § 34a) requires the state minimum wage rate to be adjusted each year for inflation. The state minimum wage rate applies to businesses with annual gross receipts above a specified threshold. The total gross receipts figure is also adjusted each year for inflation.
The changes are reflected on the Ohio 2022 Minimum Wage posting, as follows:
- 2022 Minimum Wage Rate – $9.30 per hour
- 2022 Tipped Employee Minimum Wage Rate – $4.65 per hour plus tips
- 2022 Gross Revenue Threshold – $342,000
Who must post?
Ohio employers must post the Ohio 2022 Minimum Wage posting in a conspicuous and accessible place on the premises where any covered employee works. (O.R.C. § 4111.09) |
