| How did the Minimum Wage posting change?
The Maine Minimum Wage posting has been revised with the new minimum wage rates effective January 1, 2022:
- General minimum wage rate – $12.75 per hour
- Direct cash wage rate for service employees – $6.38 per hour
- Salary threshold for overtime exemption – $735.59 per week
How did the Regulation of Employment posting change?
The Maine Regulation of Employment posting has been revised to reflect a statutory amendment pursuant to 2021 House Bill 27 allowing a grandparent to request employee family medical leave in order to care for a grandchild who has a serious health condition.
Who must post?
All Maine employers are required to post the Minimum Wage and Regulation of Employment postings in a conspicuous place. (MRSA Title 26, Section 42-B)
