Wage and Hour Notice to Employees
The posting has been revised to reflect changes to youth employment provisions made by House Bill 661.

  • Currently, the law prohibits a 14 year-old from working for a business selling alcoholic beverages for on-premises consumption, except that a 14 year-old with written parental consent, may work on the outside grounds of the business, if the youth is not involved in preparing, serving, dispensing, or selling alcoholic beverages.
  • Effective January 1, 2024, the law will apply to youths under 16 years of age absent legislative action otherwise.
