What’s New?
The South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation has revised the mandatory Notice to Employees: Availability of Unemployment Compensation posting to include:
New phone number for individuals with speech and hearing impairments needing assistance with their Reemployment Assistance (RA) claims;
New online location for checking the status of a RA claim; and
An updated list of job services offices.
Who Must Post?
Every employer subject to the South Dakota Reemployment Assistance Law must post the Notice to Employees: Availability of Unemployment Compensation posting in a conspicuous and accessible place in or about the premises where a covered employee is employed. (SDC § 61-7-1)
Every employer who has 15 or more employees is required to post the Federal Know Your Rights: Workplace Discrimination is Illegal in a place where it can be seen by employees and applicants. (42 USC 2000e-10)
