Nevada Safety and Health Protection on the Job
Each year, Nevada adjusts the penalties for workplace safety violations levied by the Nevada Occupational Safety and Health Administration (NV OSHA) in alignment with the U.S. Department of Labor’s annual inflation adjustment of the penalties imposed for Federal OSHA violations.
The Nevada Safety and Health Protection on the Job posting has been updated to reflect Nevada OSHA penalties effective January 17, 2023:
- For each serious violation – up to $15,625
- For each non-serious violation – up to $15,625
- Failure to correct violations – up to $15,625
- For each willful or repeat violation – up to $156,259

Who must post?
- All Nevada employers are required to post the Nevada Safety and Health Protection on the Job posting in a conspicuous places of the employer’s establishment where notices to employees are customarily posted. (NAC 618.6428)
- Every employer who has 15 or more employees is required to post the Federal Know Your Rights: Workplace Discrimination is Illegal posting in a place where it can be seen by employees and applicants. (24 USC 2000e-10)
