What changed?
  • Minimum Wage – In 2019, Public Act 19-4 amended section 31-58 of the Connecticut General Statutes to include a schedule of five minimum wage increases over a five-year period. Beginning January 1, 2024, the minimum wage will be adjusted by the percentage change in the employment cost index. The Minimum Wage posting has been revised with new text making reference to this amendment.
  • Pregnancy Discrimination and Accommodation in the Workplace –  In 2022, Public Act 22-82 amended the Connecticut Fair Employment Practices Act, which prohibits discrimination in employment. Starting October 1, 2022, all employers, regardless of number of employees, are covered by the Act. Furthermore, discrimination complaints must be filed with the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities within 300 days of the alleged act of discrimination. Previously, individuals had only 180 days to file with the Commission.
Who must post?

  • All employers are required to display the Pregnancy Discrimination and Accommodation in the Workplace posting in a conspicuous place. (Connecticut General Statutes § 46a-60(d)(1))
