Minimum Wage
The Minimum Wage posting has been updated to reflect the annual adjustment to the State’s minimum wage rate. Beginning January 1, 2024, the State’s minimum wage will increase as follows:
- Minimum Wage Rate: $13.67 per hour.
- Basic Wage Rate (tipped employees): $6.84 per hour.
- Maximum Tip Credit: $6.83 per hour.
Notice – Sexual Harassment is Illegal
The revised Sexual Harassment posting clarifies that:
- Sexual harassment can arise from written, auditory, or visual conduct.
- Sexual harassment does not need to be severe or pervasive to be unlawful.
Who Must Post?
- Vermont employers with two or more employees must post the current Vermont Minimum Wage posting in a conspicuous place where employees may refer to it. (Code Vt. R. 24-090-003-XI)
- Vermont employers who display the Notice – Sexual Harassment is Illegal posting meet the minimum employer sexual harassment policy posting requirements under 21 V.S.A. § 495h.
