Massachusetts Paid Family and Medical Leave
The Massachusetts Paid Family and Medical Leave posting has been revised to reflect the following 2024 contribution rates and benefit amounts:
- Employers may deduct payroll contributions of up to 0.46% from a covered individual’s wages or other earnings.
- Individuals may receive the maximum benefit amount of $1,149.90 per week.
Massachusetts Parental Leave
The Massachusetts Parental Leave posting was revised to reflect new amendments to the Massachusetts Parental Leave Act. The Act:
- Applies to full-time employees who have completed their probationary period;
- Applies to domestic workers, if the worker gives a two week notice of the anticipated departure, or as soon as possible if the delay is for reasons beyond the worker’s control; and
- Protects employees by guaranteeing job restoration after the leave of absence.
Who must post?
- Every employer must post the Paid Family and Medical Leave posting in a conspicuous and accessible place in or about the premises where a covered employee is employed. (MGL, Ch. 175M, Sec. 4(a))
- Every employer must post the Parental Leave posting in a conspicuous place in the workplace. (MGL, Ch. 149, Sec. 105D)
