Kentucky Safety and Health on the Job
In line with federal OSHA standards, Kentucky’s workplace safety regulations have been updated following House Bill 398 (2025). Key changes include:
- Discrimination complaints must be filed within 30 days of the alleged incident.
- Employers must report the hospitalization of an employee within 24 hours. This includes hospitalizations resulting from a heart attack.
The posting reflects these new changes.
Unemployment Insurance
The process for filing unemployment claims has been updated. The posting now includes:
- A new web address for filing unemployment claims online.
- An updated address for the Office of Unemployment Insurance.
Who Must Post?
- Every employer subject to the Kentucky Safety and Health Program must post the Kentucky Safety and Health posting in a conspicuous place where notices to employees are usually posted. (KRS 338.161)
- Every employer subject to the Kentucky Unemployment Insurance Law must post and maintain the Unemployment Insurance posting in places readily accessible to employees. (KRS 341.400)
