What’s new?
The Ohio Know Your Rights posting has been revised to reflect changes made by:
- 2021 Ohio House Bill 352 “Employment Law Uniformity Act” changing the time within which complaints for workplace discrimination must be filed. Complaints must be filed with the Ohio Civil Rights Commission (OCRC) within two years of the last act of discrimination or harassment.
- 2020 U.S. Supreme Court decision in Bostock v. Clayton Cty., Georgia, and other federal court cases, extending the prohibition of discrimination in employment based on sex to include discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.
Who must post?
Ohio employers, employment agencies, and labor organizations must post the OCRC Know Your Rights posting in a place where it can be seen by employees and applicants. (O.R.C. § 4112.07) |
