Required Poster Change for Virginia: State Tax Credit & Free e-File

Virginia has made two important, required poster changes to the state’s CLI (Credit for Low income Individuals) notice. Details of the changes and additional important information are below regarding the Credit for Low income Individual eligibility and iFile system.

Virginia CLI and iFile Changes

  • The website link for state CLI information has been updated and now directs traffic to the correct URL. The link to the state’s Tax Credit site provides additional information regarding state CLI eligibility, income limits, credit amounts, program limitations and claim procedures.
  • The paragraph describing to “iFile”, the state’s former internet tax filing program, has been removed from the poster. The Virginia Department of Taxation (VATAX) is no longer offering “iFile”. While the poster text was not replaced with any new information, taxpayers can contact the Virginia Department of Taxation for information concerning Virginia’s participation in the e-File programs. Using the new system, Virginia taxpayers can now file their Federal and State income tax returns free online using e-File.

CPC has incorporated these changes onto our All-On-One Virginia labor law posters (#83746-English, and #84746-Spanish), and also offers the new notice as a Peel ‘N Post (#46700-English, and #46701-Spanish) for customers with 1/2010 or later posters.
