West Virginia Notice to Employees – Unemployment Benefits
  • The Unemployment Compensation Benefit Rate Table has been updated with 12 new wage class entries, lines 384-404, showing the weekly benefit rate and maximum amount of benefits for each new wage class.
  • Using their base period wages and the wage range for each class indicated on the table, employees are able to determine the amount they may receive in weekly benefits, if eligible.
  • Each year, the commissioner is required to establish wage classes and calculate the weekly benefit rate and maximum weekly benefit rate for each such class.
Who must post?
  • Employers who are covered under the West Virginia Unemployment Compensation Law are required to post and maintain the Notice to Employees – Unemployment Benefits posting in places readily accessible to employees. (WV Code § 21A-7-2).
