What’s new?
- Genetic Discrimination – The posting has been updated to reflect changes pursuant to Senate Bill 200, providing that:
- Employers must grant one day’s leave from work to obtain genetic testing or preventative cancer screening. The leave is unpaid, but an employer must permit the employee to use other accrued leave.
- Employees must give 15 days’ notice prior to the leave and make a reasonable effort to schedule the leave so as not to unduly disrupt business operations. An employee is not required to share test results with the employer.
- Earned Income Credit EIC 2023 – The posting shows for tax year 2023:
- The maximum income amount at or below which an employee must be notified of the potential availability of the EIC at the time of hire.
- The maximum amount of income to be eligible for the EIC, depending on the number of children claimed.
