What’s new?
Minimum Wage – The notice has been updated with the minimum wage rates effective September 30, 2023. The minimum wage for non-tipped employees will increase to $12.00 per hour, while the minimum wage for tipped employees will increase to $8.98 per hour.
Unemployment Compensation – The notice has been revised to reflect the new agency responsible for enforcing the Florida Reemployment Assistance Program. Individuals must contact the Florida Department of Commerce to file a claim or submit any questions about their benefits.
Who must post?
- The Florida Minimum Wage notice is a mandatory notice for employers with one or more employees who are subject to the minimum wage law. The notice must be prominently displayed in a conspicuous and accessible place in each establishment where such employees are employed. (Florida Statutes § 448.109)
- The Unemployment Compensation notice must be displayed in places readily available to employees by all employers with one or more employees. (Florida Statutes § 443.151)
