Veterans Benefits and Services
Pursuant to Senate Bill 3035, employers with 50 or more full-time employees are required to display this new posting in the workplace. The posting provides resources available to veterans, including the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Crisis Line.Captive Meetings: Mandatory Workplace Communications
Pursuant to Senate Bill 3035, employers are prohibited from taking adverse employment action against employees who decline to attend employer-sponsored meetings regarding religious or political matters. The law does not limit employers’ right to conduct meetings involving religious or political matters if attendance or listening is voluntary.

Minimum Wage
The Minimum Wage posting has been revised with the new minimum wage rates, effective January 1, 2024:

  • Large employer: $10.85 per hour
  • Small employer: $8.85 per hour
  • Training and youth: $8.85 per hour
  • J-1 Visa: $8.85 per hour
Who must post?
  • Every employer with more than 50 full-time employees must post the Minnesota Veterans Benefits and Services posting in a conspicuous place accessible to employees in the workplace. (Minnesota Statutes § 181.536(2))
  • Every employer in Minnesota is required to post a notice informing employees of their rights under the employer-sponsored meetings or communications law. (Minnesota Statutes § 181.531(3))
  • Every employer subject to the Minnesota Fair Labor Standards Act must post the Minnesota Minimum Wage posting in a conspicuous and accessible place in or about the premises where a covered employee is employed. (Minnesota Statutes § 177.31)

Minnesota also passed a new sick and safe time law (SB 3035). Effective January 1, 2024, employers must provide eligible employees with one hour of paid earned sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours per year. Employers are encouraged to display the new Earned Sick and Safe Time Poster (#23200) to inform employees of their rights under the law.
