What changed?
The revised Maine Minimum Wage posting reflects an increase in the minimum salary that Maine employees must be paid to be considered overtime-exempt. Effective July 1, 2024, Maine’s minimum salary level increases to $844 per week. The adjustment corresponds with the recent increase in salary threshold qualifying executive, administrative and professional employees for overtime exemption under the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act.
Who must post?
Every employer is required to post the Minimum Wage posting in a conspicuous place on or about the premises where employees are employed. (MRSA Title 26, Section 42-B)
