What changed?
  • The “Workers Compensation Rights and Responsibilities” posting has been updated to reflect changes made pursuant to SB 430, effective July 1, 2024. Employees must notify their employer of an injury within 30 calendar days from date of the accident, or 20 calendar days if the employee no longer works for the employer. If an employee seeks treatment from a doctor not authorized by the employer, the employer or its insurance carrier is only liable up to $800.00 for the unauthorized medical treatment.
  • The “Unemployment Insurance” posting has been updated to reflect its office hours to file a claim.
  • The “Fair Housing” posting has been updated to reflect the business hours and fax number for the Dodge City office.
Who must post?
  • All employers that are subject to the Workers Compensation Act must post the “Workers Compensation Rights and Responsibilities” posting in one or more conspicuous places. (KAR § 51-12-2)
  • All employers must post and maintain the Unemployment Insurance posting and the certificate of registration in a conspicuous place in each plant, branch, or establishment maintained by the employer. (KAR 50-3-1)
  • The Kansas Fair Housing posting must be posted in a visible location by persons engaged in the sale, rental, leasing, financing or negotiation of housing. (KAR 21-60)
