What’s new?
The Ohio Minimum Wage posting has been updated to reflect the 2025 inflation-adjusted minimum wage rate. Starting January 1, 2025, Ohio employers will be required to pay their employees no less than the following:
- General minimum wage rate – $10.70 per hour
- Tipped employee minimum wage rate – $5.35 per hour, plus tips
- Ohio businesses that gross less than $394,000 in the preceding calendar year are required to pay their employees no less than the current federal minimum wage rate.
Who must post?
Every Ohio employer that is subject to Ohio Revised Code sections 4111.01 to 4111.17 is required to display the current Ohio Department of Commerce Minimum Wage posting in a conspicuous and accessible place on the employer’s premises. (O.R.C. § 4111.09)
