| What’s New? Arkansas Department of Labor and Licensing Notice to Employer & Employee 
Effective August 1, 2023, State law no longer requires that children under the age of 16 obtain a work permit from the Division of Labor as a condition of employment. All other state and federal laws remain in effect and will be enforced.Effective August 1, 2023, the civil penalties for child labor law violations increase to not less than $100.00 and not more than $5,000.00 for each violation.Minor changes clarifying the authority of the Director of the Division of Labor, Division of Labor contact information, and references to the Division’s administrative rules. Who must post? 
All Arkansas employers are required to post the Department of Labor and Licensing Notice to Employer & Employee in a conspicuous and accessible location on the business’ premises. (AR Code § 11-4-216). Also Includes Federal Posting Updates:
