South Carolina Human Affairs Law Prohibits Employment Discrimination
- What changed? The posting has an updated web address that employees can use to file a complaint for unlawful discrimination online.
- Who must post? All South Carolina employers with 15 or more employees are required to post and maintain the Employment Discrimination posting in places where notices to employees and applicants are customarily posted. (S.C. Code Ann. Regs. § 65-24)
Notification of the Availability of Unemployment Insurance
- What changed? The revised posting informs employees of:
- the availability of unemployment insurance benefits if an employee becomes separated from their employment
- how to contact the Department of Employment and Workforce (DEW)
- information needed to process a claim for benefits
- Who must post? All South Carolina employers are required to post and maintain the Notification of the Availability of Unemployment Insurance posting in places readily accessible to all employees. (S.C. Code Ann. Regs. §§ 47-11 to -13)
