Your Rights Under Illinois Employment Laws
- Paid Leave section revisions include:
- Workers earn up to 40 hours of paid leave per year.
- Employers may provide workers with all paid leave hours at the beginning of the 12-month period (frontloading).
- Unused accrued paid leave is rolled over at the end of the year.
- Unused frontloaded leave does not need to be carried over. Exceptions apply to employers that already provide paid leave.
- Updated hotline numbers for information about Child Labor, Unpaid Wages, Meal & Rest Periods, Violent Crime Victims’ Leave, Paid Leave, and the Equal Pay Act.
