Summary of Alaska Wage and Hour Act
The posting has been updated with the minimum wage rate effective January 1, 2025. The minimum wage will increase to $11.91 per hour.Alaska Safety and Health Protection on the Job
The posting reflects the annual adjustment of the maximum penalties for violations of Alaska Occupational Safety and Health Standards:
  • Serious violations – $16,131/each violation
  • Nonserious violations – $16,131/each violation
  • Failure to correct violations – $16,131/per day
  • Willful or repeated violations – $161,131/each violation

Sexual Harassment is Illegal
The posting has been revised to reflect the new Alaska Commission for Human Rights address. Employees may visit the Commission’s office to file a discrimination complaint.

Who must post?
  • Every employer subject to the Alaska Wage and Hour Act is required to post the minimum wage posting in a conspicuous place where employees are employed. (A.S. 23.10.105)
  • Every employer with one or more employees must post the Alaska Safety and Health Protection on the Job posting in a prominent and accessible location in the workplace. (A.S. 18.60.068)
  • Every employer is required to display the Sexual Harassment is Illegal posting to inform the public of its constitutional and statutory civil rights. (A.S. 18.80.220)
