Paid Family Leave
Under the District of Columbia Paid Family Leave Law, eligible individuals may receive a weekly benefit amount based on their weekly wages. Every October 1st, the maximum weekly benefit amount shall increase in accordance with changes based on the Consumer Price Index. The 2025 maximum weekly benefit amount is $1,153.
All District of Columbia employers must post and maintain the Paid Family Leave posting in a conspicuous location where notices to employees are customarily posted. (DC Code § 32-541.06(i)(3))
Protecting Pregnant Workers Fairness Act
Under the District of Columbia Protecting Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, employers must provide reasonable accommodations for employees because of pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, or a related medical condition. The posting clarifies that employees “chest/breastfeeding” must be provided a private space for expressing breast/chest milk.
All District of Columbia employers must post the Protecting Pregnant Workers Fairness Act posting in a conspicuous location in English and Spanish. (DC Code § 32-1231.04)
