What’s changed?
The New York Minimum Wage posting, titled Attention Miscellaneous Industry Employees, has been revised to reflect new tip wages. On December 31, 2019, the New York Department of Labor issued an order eliminating the tip credits for miscellaneous industries. The elimination will occur in two phases. Effective June 30, 2020, the difference between the minimum wage and the current tip wages was cut in half. Then, on December 31, 2020, the tip credit will be completely eliminated. Covered employers will be required to pay employees at least the minimum wage.

Who must post?
All New York employers are required to post and maintain the Minimum Wage posting in a conspicuous location where notices to employees are customarily posted. (19 NY LAB, 661)
