LABOR LAW POSTING UPDATES
State Changes
The Child Labor Laws posting has been updated with the Alabama Department of Workforce’s new name, website, address, and Child Labor Division email address.
The Your Job Insurance posting now includes the updated unemployment claims website, department name, location, and logo.
Additional postings have also been updated with the department’s new name, address, and logo.
Washington
Immigrant Worker Protection Act (IWPA): Effective October 1, 2026, all employers must display the new Immigrant Worker Protection Act posting, which outlines employer requirements to notify workers about federal I-9 inspections. Employers are required to post the IWPA posting in the state’s six most used languages, including English, Spanish, Russian, Vietnamese, Ukrainian, and Chinese-Mandarin.
San Francisco, CA Fair Chance and Paid Parental Leave Ordinance Poster
Fair Chance Ordinance: The posting has been updated to reflect a new notification requirement. The employer must notify the applicant of the final action within the specified 30-day timeframe after receiving their information.
Paid Parental Leave Ordinance: The posting has been revised to clarify that employees must have been employed for 180 days or more, work at least 8 hours and/or 40% of their time per week within San Francisco during the Lookback Period, and receive California Paid Family Leave through EDD to bond with their new child.

What’s changing next?
Wage and Hour Laws: Hawaii’s family leave law was recently amended to include qualifying military exigencies as a basis for family leave. The posting is expected to be updated to reflect this change.
Laws Prohibiting Employment Discrimination: The statute of limitations for filing discrimination complaints with the with the Hawaii Civil Rights Commission has increased from 180 days to one year. The posting is expected to be updated to reflect this change.
Louisiana
2026 Earned Income Credit: Louisiana Works is expected to release the 2026 Earned Income Credit (EIC) posting reflecting the IRS income limits to qualify for the EIC for the 2026 tax year (returns filed in early 2027).
Minor Labor Law Placard: Under new state law, Louisiana schools no longer issue or process employment certificates. Now, prospective employers issue employment certificates and submit them to Louisiana Works online. The posting is expected to be updated to reflect this change.
Maryland
Mandatory Meetings on Religious or Political Matters: Effective October 1, 2026, employers must post a notice informing employees and job applicants that they cannot be disciplined or denied employment for declining to participate in employer-sponsored meetings on religious or political matters.
Nevada
AB 307 Required Posting: An updated posting is expected for October 1, 2026, to comply with the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation’s (DETR) quarterly reporting requirements for job training and employment programs.
Saskatchewan
Minimum Wage: Effective October 1, 2026, the Saskatchewan minimum wage increases to $15.70 per hour.
Employment Standards: Under new employment rules, employers may not withhold employee tips; special days of rest rules for retail employees are eliminated; and employers must provide new hires with a copy of the new Employment Standards Regulations upon request.
Leaves of Absence: Under the new rules, maternity leave can be taken for pregnancy loss; bereavement leave can be taken for the death of a person the employee considers to be like a close relative; up to 16 weeks’ of interpersonal violence leave can be taken to obtain care and assistance; and serious illness leave increases from 12 weeks to 27 weeks.
