The NLRA Private Industry Employee Rights Labor Law posting date has been delayed to April 30, 2012. After a hearing on the issue, a federal court in Washington, DC requested postponement of the posting rule effective date. The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) ruled that the postponement would allow time to resolve pending legal challenges to the rule by employer groups and others. The new posting rule is now set to go into effect April 30, 2012. The NLRB’s decision follows two prior effective dates for the posting rule that were delayed. Those were November 14, 2011 and January 31, 2012.
If you have already posted the NLRA Employee Rights notice, please keep it posted on the wall as there is no penalty for complying early and every indication from the NLRB points to this requirement going into effect.
