The Kansas Workers’ Compensation labor law posting has been updated to reflect a change in reporting deadlines for accidents and injuries that occur on or after April 25, 2013. Senate Bill 187 shortens the time periods for employees to give notice to their employers of an accident or injury in order to be eligible for workers’ compensation.

Some of the changes to the posting include:

  • The effective date of new reporting requirements,
  • The time employees have to report workplace accidents or injury is reduced to 20 days,
  • The time former employees have to report workplace accidents or injury is reduced to 10 days after their last day of work,
  • Clarification of text regarding additional benefits for permanent disability,
  • Minor change to the department website extension,
  • New look and a new posting date 4-13.

Employers can update with a cost-saving Workers’ Compensation Peel ‘N Post for the Kansas All-On-One™ Labor Law Poster or with a Workers’ Compensation Peel ‘N Post for the Kansas Mobile Poster Pak™. New Kansas All-On-One™ Labor Law Posters include the updated Workers’ Compensation notice and current versions of all other state and federal labor law postings.
