What’s changed?
The Colorado Minimum Wage Order posting has been updated with the minimum wage rates effective as of January 1, 2019. The general minimum wage will increase to $11.10 per hour and the tipped minimum wage will increase to $8.08 per hour. The Wage Order number has changed from 34 to 35.
The Colorado Minimum Wage Order also displays the minimum wage rates for the previous two years. On the current poster the 2016 wage rates have been removed, and the poster now shows the wage rates for 2019, 2018, and 2017.
Who is required to post?
The Colorado Minimum Wage Order covers employers and employees in the following industries: Retail and Service, Commercial Support Service, Food and Beverage, and Health and Medical. Every employer subject to the wage order is required to display the 2019 Colorado Minimum Wage Poster in an area frequented by employees where it can be easily read during the work day. (7 CCR 1103-1.21)
