What’s new?
The Michigan Minimum Wage posting has been updated to reflect the minimum wage rates for calendar years 2024 and 2025.
Effective January 1, 2024:
- General minimum wage – $10.33 per hour
- 85% rate for minors ages 16 and 17 – $8.78 per hour
- Tipped employees – $3.93 per hour
Effective January 1, 2025:
- General minimum wage – $10.56 per hour
- 85% rate for minors ages 16 and 17 – $8.98 per hour
- Tipped employees – $4.01 per hour
Who must post?
Employers subject to the Michigan Workforce Opportunity Wage Act are required to prominently display the Minimum Wage posting in a conspicuous and accessible place in each establishment where employees are employed. (MCL, Section 408.417)
