California health care facility employers that are covered by the Health Care Worker Minimum Wage must post a copy of the California Minimum Wage Supplement for Health Care Workers Poster in a location frequented by employees.
Changes to the California Minimum Wage Supplement for Health Care Workers Poster include:
- Table: Summary of Minimum Wages effective July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026:
o Health care facilities with 10,000 or more full time equivalent employees – $24 per hour
o Dialysis clinics – $24 per hour
o Hospitals with a higher governmental payor mix, independent hospitals with an elevated governmental payor mix, or rural independent health care facilities – $18.63 per hour
o Covered Health Care Facilities run by Large Counties (more than five million people as of 1/1/23) – $24 per hour
o Covered Health Care Facilities run by Medium Sized Counties (250,000 to five million people as of 1/1/23) – $21 per hour
o Covered Health Care Facilities run by Small Counties (less than 250,000 people as of 1/1/23) – $18.63 per hour
- Section 2. MINIMUM WAGES
(B) For any hospital that is a hospital with a high governmental payor mix, an independent hospital with an elevated governmental payor mix, a rural independent covered health care facility, or a covered health care facility that is owned, affiliated, or operated by a county with a population of less than 250,000
o from July 1, 2031 to June 30, 2032, inclusive, twenty-two dollars and eighty-nine cents ($22.89); and
o from July 1, 2032 to June 30, 2033, inclusive, twenty-three dollars and sixty-nine cents ($23.69).
